Hi there, I’m Whiskey, an 8-year-old brown torby girl. In case you don’t know, a torby is a mix of tabby and tortoiseshell—in my case, with an extra dash of white on one side of my face and on my neck. I’m not sure how I got my name; maybe it’s from the colors in my fur, like whiskey reflecting the light, or maybe somebody just wanted to sit with Whiskey without going to a bar! I’m scared by new situations, so you’ll need to be patient with me; I may spend my first few days in your house under the bed. Once I get comfortable with you, though, I’m extremely affectionate! I crave attention and will follow you around, waiting for a chance to rub all over you. I’ll also cuddle up next to you at night. (Sometimes when I’m very relaxed and happy, I might drool just a bit in a thoroughly ladylike way.) Nobody here has seen me play yet; it’s not impossible, but for now wand toys scare me. Other cats scare me A LOT, so I’d prefer a home with just people. I’m soooo ready for my new human best friend. Once I come out of my shell and get the love going, you’ll wonder how you got along without me!
