There are so many deserving organizations competing for the ever-shrinking donation dollar, we hope that this information will help you in making an informed decision.

At Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, we believe in being open with our donors and adopters regarding how our money is received and how that money is spent. Below are the links to our financial information and Accountant’s Reports for the years 2018 through 2022. If, at any time, you have questions concerning how our funds are expended or received, please feel free to contact us.

As an all-volunteer organization, we have few administrative expenses and no salaries which need to be funded. Only a small percentage of our expenses do not relate directly to the Cats' needs. These expenses include such things as accountant's fees for tax filings and postage for our periodic fundraising appeals.  Most of our funds are used to pay for the the needs of the cats in our care- primarily veterinary care, medications and food and our shelter.
