I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Tickles

We're happy to tell you that Tickles has a new furever home.

Hi there, I’m Tickles, and you’re welcome to tickle me, once we get to know each other. I’m a big, all black male cat, just over a year old. I lost my original home when my person got too sick to care for me. Then I spent a couple of months with their nephew, who really wanted to keep me—he says I’m intelligent, good with kids, and without bad habits—but with a new baby on the way and an impending move to a smaller place, he felt it was time to find me a settled home where I’d get the attention I deserve.

When we first meet, you’ll find me very shy and introverted, and it will take a while for me to relax in (another) new house. Once I do, though, look out! I’ll be all over you—on your lap, beside you on the couch, and in your bed, if that’s okay with you. I won’t be shy about head butting you for pets and leaning in for cheek scratches. (People think it’s cute when I lean in so far that my bottom goes up in the air and I end up rolling over.)

When it’s play time, I love things I can chase, especially lasers and little balls with bells. If nobody is available for pets or play, I’m happy to watch squirrels and birds out the window, explore the house, or just lounge on a cat tree. In my last home, I lived with another young, playful cat, and we enjoyed rough housing, cuddling, and sleeping together. I also made friends with the family’s gentle child. Do I sound like the perfect cat for you? Let’s meet! Just remember, it will take a little time for me to show you my sweet, affectionate nature.
