I’m Palmtree, a beautiful 2-year-old dark brown/black long-hair boy. I was found on Palmtree Drive in Gaithersburg and taken to the Montgomery County Local Shelter. My foster mom calls me a gentle soul, I’d describe myself as a daydreamer, as I love gazing out the window, dreaming of a forever home. Around other animals, I am more of an introvert and don’t seek out their attention, but as I gain more confidence, I may change my mind. What I really love are people and I cannot get enough of them! I am always up for pets, especially my chin, and I love being near my human. You’ll notice this as I am constantly purring. I am a very sweet and loving boy and very easy to handle. Because of my long fur, combined with being a stray outdoors without any humans to brush me, I got some mats which had to be shaved, thus some of my current bald spots. Now that I am indoors, I have really enjoyed my daily brushing sessions, which are necessary to maintain my gorgeous coat. I’m not big into playing with toys but I do love exploring and sitting in various cat furniture such as igloos, after all, I do need my alone time. I have a cute and soft meow and like to have conversations with my humans. At night when I have some privacy while everyone is sleeping, I like to thoroughly explore all the nooks and crannies that are in a home, and, sometimes, you may hear my chirping as I talk to myself.
