Hello, I’m Oliver, an affectionate male 6 year old sweetheart. My family adopted me as a kitten, but sadly, my human mom suffered a stroke and can no longer take care of me. Being used to a quiet life, I may seem timid at first and can be easily startled though I do so enjoy being around people. I’m a big sweetie and steadfast companion once we are acquainted.
You will love brushing and petting my soft fur. How much do I love, LOVE brushing? Let me count the ways. I'll purr almost immediately when you start. My human mom says several times a day I sit and wait near where the brush is kept to remind you to not forget my brushing. My foster mom says I stick my back leg straight out for you to brush at the funniest angle.
My favorite pastime is birding. Every morning I look out the window for my feathered friends making little sounds as if trying to talk to them. My favorite toy is a laser. As long as you want, I’ll keep chasing that red dot.
Although not a lap cat, I do like to sit right next to you on the couch. I'll even put my paw on your leg when I’m happy. Given my size, that’s probably a good thing that I don’t need to be ON you. Being picked up and carried isn’t my thing either. Maybe I’m a tad overfed, but mostly I’m just massive with an enormous head that I’m told is very endearing.
