Hi there! I’m Mochi, a 7-year-old black and tan Maine Coon, ready for a new house to explore. I’ll need to check out all the rooms, including the basement; if there’s a closed door, I’ll sit outside it and meow politely. Once I’ve gotten to know the place and the people, I’ll relax; I love sitting at the top of the stairs and looking down at the world, lying in the sun near a window, or just generally indulging my “lazy bones” tendencies till someone shows up for petting or playing. The laser pointer is my favorite toy, but I’ll keep you entertained with anything: balls, string toys, whatever you’ve got! When we get tired, I’ll curl up on the couch next to you for some relaxation and purring or take a nap on your desk.
I feel a special connection to women and gentle older girls; any guys in the house might feel they’re not getting enough of my attention . . . or maybe that’s okay! I’ve lived with other cats and we got along fine; there might be a little hissing at first, but going with the flow is what I do, so I don’t stay mad at anybody for long. I love sleeping in bed with my person. At first you may need to remind me that nights are for sleeping, not playing, but I’m smart enough to adapt to your routine. Overall, I’d say I’m a cat who will fit perfectly into a home—maybe yours?
