Hi there! We’re Kiara and Kion, a bonded sister-and-brother duo named after characters in The Lion King, and we’re looking for a forever home together. We’re both one year old, and while our family loves us dearly, allergies mean they had to make the hard decision to help us find a new place to land.
I’m Kion, gray/brown with black stripes and the quieter brother of the duo. I like to take my time warming up, but once I do, I’m incredibly sweet. During the day I tend to keep to myself—unless I’m hungry or birdwatching—but at night I’ll come find you for affection. I love laser toys, hide-and-seek games, and string, and I’ll yowl if I accidentally get stuck in a room. I don’t seek being held, but I won’t fight it either, and I adore head rubs.
My sister is Kiara, a gray tabby and she is the more confident, curious one. If you’re home, she will want to know what you’re doing—and she’ll probably follow you from room to room to supervise. She loves head rubs, leg brushes, and once she trusts you, she will happily flop over for belly rubs. She’s not the biggest fan of being held, but loves cuddling on her own terms, especially during TV time. She is a serious toy collector: strings, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, felt toys—if it’s soft and small, she has probably hidden it under the couch. She chirps when she “hunts” and greets you right at the door when you come home.
We’ve grown up with gentle kids (ages 8–12) and did great with them. We wrestle, nap, cuddle, and always look for comfort in each other. Our perfect day includes good food, playtime, outdoor watching, and curling up together with our people nearby.
