I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Kikeo

We're happy to tell you that Kikeo has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Cats Page to see the cats currently available.

My humans adopted me when I was one-month old and named me Kikeo. Now I’m five years old and they could not take me with them when they moved. So if you’re looking for a handsome gray tabby with white stripes, I might be your guy!  I’m pretty independent so you don’t have to worry about entertaining me, but I do like cat nip toys and chasing the laser dot (…yes, that is a hint!).  My favorite pastimes are exploring and sniffing everything and loafing around. I especially like cat trees for perching, window gazing, and scratching. You can also give me the cardboard horizontal scratching pads on the floor and I’ll give them a good workout instead of your furniture!

While I’m not one of those cuddly cats, I do like petting but it’s pretty much on my terms. Usually, you can tell if I’m in the petting mood by my body language – especially if I am head-butting you. I am not a fan of being picked up but at mealtime I can be pretty affectionate – I love my food and the person feeding me! When I arrived at my foster home I was pretty skittish for a few days and did some hissing until I became familiar with them and my surroundings. It might take me a few days to settle in with you too. It’s probably better if I’m not around young kids because it doesn’t feel safe to me. My foster loves my cute little meow and trills when I’m talking. If you’re looking for a kitty to keep you company without pestering you then we should meet! I’m at the AWLMC shelter now so please stop by.
