My name is Juno and I am a 2-year-old male orange kitty who loves to explore my surroundings. My dream is to fly on the Juno spacecraft currently in orbit around the planet Jupiter. Alas! It’s only a dream because that Juno took off long before I was born. But I can pretend, can’t I?
My most favorite activity is to check out my home, of course, to be sure everything is as it should be – then I want to watch kitty TV from a cat tree in front of a window where I can monitor the birds, squirrels, and people going by. Then it’s time to play with wand toys with a mouse, feathers or worm on the end of it. Your job is to make those things dance so I can show off my catching skills. I will head butt you to remind you that it is time to pet and scratch my head so I can purr at you. I am not real thrilled to be picked up, but I can stand it for a little while – then I will squirm to get down.
Like many cats moving into a new environment, I might seem a little shy and timid at first, but with time and encouragement, I will show you my playful, affectionate side and may approach our visitors for a few pets. I have had minimal exposure to other cats and dogs – the cats I did not like but the dog was sort of OK. I will sit beside you or on your lap for a little human TV watching and keep you company at night.
So, what do you say? Please come to the shelter so we can meet and decide if we are fated to be companions forever.
