I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Jonathan

We're happy to tell you that Jonathan has a new furever home.

Single, three-year-old, gray and white tabby male kitty looking for a home! That’s me – Jonathon! I’ve had a tough time of it. We can’t figure out how I ended up on the streets.  However, I was smart enough to make friends in a local church parking lot with the pastor, who named me Jonathon after a hero in the Old Testament of the Bible. She could tell I was friendly but skinny, hungry, and a little bit scared. Lucky for me she decided to call a rescue group who fostered me and now I’m looking for a calm, safe indoor home.

You’ll find me to be very affectionate but still cautious and easily scared. Life on the streets was terrifying and it takes me a little time to adjust to new surroundings.  Head pets and scratches are very welcome and I like to quietly lay against you. I have a nice loud purr and will roll over for belly rubs.  My foster mom says I’m outgoing and curious about people. Sometimes I’m playful and enjoy my toys.  I hope you have lots of windows because I do love to lay in the sunshine and nap.

I’m ready to settle in and relax. My ideal home would be as the only pet with patient adults who can give me the time and space to adjust and feel safe. Then I’ll reward you with loud purrs and lots of affection. Stop by and see me at the shelter – maybe we can be each others’ heroes!
