Hi my name is Hershey. I’m almost two years old and I’ve been told I’m as sweet as a Hershey’s kiss and my marbled brown tabby markings match! I am a shy girl when first getting to know someone, but that doesn’t last very long if I feel safe and secure. I will come out of my shyness quickly and sit next to you on the couch and ask you to pet me while I purr the day away. I used to live in a house with 4 small children, and I definitely prefer a calm home like my foster mom’s. Unexpected noises scare me and I like to have safe spots I can run to for a few minutes until I know it is safe. I enjoy telling you about my day with little chirps, meows, and purrs – I have quite the vocabulary. I’m glad I’m not a real Hershey’s kiss, because I wouldn’t want to melt while I do one of my favorite things – lie in a sunbeam and soak up those warm rays. Playing is another of my favorite activities, especially in the evening. I love squeaky toys and balls, and those catnip toys get my attention too! Because I’m still young, I sometimes get the “zoomies” and will run around the house entertaining myself with toys. Playing by myself is fun, but I wouldn’t mind having a playmate as well.
