Hi there! My name is Custard and I couldn’t be sweeter. I’m an affectionate 3-year-old light orange tabby boy. In my short life, I’ve been passed around a bit from a county shelter, to a family, then to a friend, then back to the shelter when the friend moved. But I have taken all of this in stride because I love, love people!!
I am curious and outgoing with people from the start. When we meet, my purring will show how much I love your rubbing and petting and snuggling. I often have a lot to say and enjoy chatting with you about things.
In new surroundings, loud noises send me jumping to high places for cover. Once I get comfy and figure out what makes those noises, I settle right in.
My favorite pastime is hanging close to you whether on a chair, a perch or your bed. Want to play? I go after stuffed mice, strings, the laser, and really anything that moves. Pretend hunting real birds and squirrels gets me so excited I sometimes forget about the glass window and bump my nose! A cat perch near a window is kitty TV for me.
Predatory instincts aside, I am calm and gentle as a lamb with all people including small children. My foster says I’m a quick study on learning the house rules too.
