Hi, there! I’m Bella, a six-year-old tortie girl. My name means “beautiful” in Italian, and people tell me it fits me very well. I have all the classic tortie colors—gold, black, and every shade in between; I also have soulful golden eyes and an expressive “meow” that’s sure to get your attention. My life was turned upside down recently when my person and I lost our home and went our separate ways to rebuild our lives.
The most important thing to know about me is that I have a BIG desire for petting, around my head and everywhere else. Even when I’m in a new place, like a foster home, the promise of human affection and petting draws me out from under the bed pretty quickly. You can also lure me out of a hiding place with a fun wand toy. My foster mom started teaching me the joys of laps, and I’m on my way to becoming a full-fledged lap cat. (If I start to feel overwhelmed and need a little downtime, I’ll let you know.) I’m also a steadfast night-time companion, happy to sleep either in a cat bed on your bed or just close to you on your blanket. I’d love to meet you! Maybe we’re the perfect person-cat team.
