My name is Fanny. I’m a beautiful (so I’m told) tortoiseshell girl, one and a half years old. My previous people were musicians, and they named me after Fanny Mendelsson, a composer who lived in the early 1800’s. I’m a musician, too! I’ll add a variety of interesting sounds to your home—chirps and chatters as well as meows in a variety of pitches and a lovely soft purr. You might say that I’m also a dancer; when I’m in the mood I’ll stand on my hind legs, jump into the air, and zip around with toys. I’m looking for a new home because I couldn’t get past my fear of the other cat in my previous household. But I love people and crave attention and affection! If you’re sitting on the couch, I might wrap myself around your neck and purr softly. I’m not so much a lap cat as a “climbing all over you” cat. (Does that make me a gymnast as well as a singer and dancer?) I love string toys and enjoy the game of pulling a toy out of a person’s hands and carrying it around the room like a trophy. I dream of a home with one or more people who will cuddle and play with me, with no competition with other animals. Doesn’t living with me sound like fun? |
