I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Hathore

We're happy to tell you that Hathore has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Cats Page to see the cats currently available.

Hello there! I’m Hathore, a 7-year-old gray tabby girl. I share my name with an ancient Egyptian goddess, but I don’t waste time on queenly airs when I could be curled up on a nice lap. At 7 pounds, I’m almost small enough to qualify as a pocket pet.

I’m looking forward to getting past this rough year. After our person died in July, his family tried to take care of my two brothers and me, but they weren’t enthusiastic; to be fair, three cats is a lot. My brothers and I went in different directions, and here I am in a nice peaceful room at AWLMC, with lots of human visitors but still waiting for the close bond I crave.

It takes me a while to feel comfortable in a new environment, so my first move will be finding a home base to retreat to between explorations. The “hiding out” stage won’t last long, though, because my love for people will make it hard for me to resist showing you my sweet, affectionate self. Pretty soon I’ll be snuggling up with you, making biscuits and purring up a storm. You’re welcome to give me a special thrill with ear and lower back scratches and an occasional belly rub. Or a treat! I love play, too, especially a good laser tag game. If you’re too busy for extended play, I’m pretty good at entertaining myself with feather toys. I also enjoy giving myself a mani-pedi with a sturdy scratching post. A gentle kitty playmate would be fun but is not a requirement; my heart belongs to people!

If you have room in your home for a tiny, sweet girl, come in and see me. We just might fall in love!
