I've found my furever family!

Hi! My Name Is Hershey

We're happy to tell you that Hershey has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Cats Page to see the cats currently available.

Hi, I am Hershey, a four-year-old black and white tuxedo DSH girl. I was adopted
from AWLMC a few years ago and settled right in and life was good. They
eventually had a baby who grew into a toddler who has not yet learned how to be
gentle with kitties and use his “indoor” voice. Loud noises and/or enthusiastic
handling made me run for the nearest hiding place, so I spent a lot of time in
hiding. The family decided I would be better off in a quieter home - and I agreed.
I am a bit shy when meeting new people and will hide for a while until I am more
comfortable.
When I am feeling safe, I am playful (wand toys, laser dots, mice, balls) and like to
follow you around, sit next to you and on your lap. I love being up high (wait until
you see me jump!), and looking out the window from my cat tree, observing life
outside or curling up in a sunbeam for a nice nap. I am also intensely curious
about open doors – you never know what is inside unless you check it out – right?
If you want to give me a gentle chin to tail massage, I am your girl. I have the
tiniest meow so listen up!
Can I follow you around, sit with you, sleep with you, occupy your lap? Please
come see me. I want to go home with you.
