Do I look Dutch? Someone thought I did and named me Tenbrook – which means a home near a brook in Dutch. And this guy is looking for a home but it can be anywhere – especially after my recent experiences! I am 12 years old and was living on the streets when someone found me and took me to the local County Shelter. I spent the next few months recovering from wounds and infections but now my gray fur is shiny and healthy and so am I!
Here is what else you should know about me. I’m curious and love to explore – if a door or cabinet is open you know I will go through it! New surroundings don’t scare me, I’ll make myself right at home! I am very sociable and will make friends quickly with your visitors. I will enjoy being with you and will follow you around, even if it is only to nap in the same room you are in. I’m a great conversationalist; my foster mom said I have a cute meow with a distinctive squeak. I love chasing feathers on a wand, it makes me feel like I’m catching those birds I watch outside the windows! You will also find me sunbathing wherever the sun comes into the room. And this is the most important thing about me – I am very affectionate with head butts, petting, and hanging out with you on the couch. I’m not crazy about curling up in your lap, but I definitely want your attention and petting!
