If you are interested in meeting a particular cat, please email us to verify that he or she is still available for adoption and present at the shelter. Many of our cats are in foster homes, so please email us to let us know who you want to meet and when, so that we can arrange to bring them to an adoption event.

My owner rescued me and gave me and my kittens a wonderful home. Then she lost her job and her home. She couldn’t bear to turn me back out on the street so she brought us to AWL. My kittens were quickly adopted. Now I’m waiting for someone special to come along and take me home to a new home as well.
People are so much fun. They like to pet me and listen to everything I have to say. They let me sit next to them and they play with string toys with me. It's great. I tend to be very curious about everything and I'm easy to get along with. I like most other cats but can be intimidated if they are aggressive. I'll make a great family pet.
Got a toy mouse? I love to play fetch or just toss them around. I also chase laser lights and play with string toys. I really like attention and being petted. I'll purr and rub and even give you kisses. I'm happy to sit with you and share a conversation. I even enjoyed the company of the two year old little boy I lived with. Unfortunately, I didn't get along with the other two cats who shared the house with me. Since they were there first, I'm now looking for a new home and a person or family that will love me forever.
Feisty and independent I may be, but other cats intimidate me so I act up around them. I vastly prefer quiet to commotion. If you take me home I’ll explore and drink out of the sink and sleep at the foot of your bed with you. I’m a quiet cat, not the type to demand your attention. I keep hoping the right person will come through the door and see my potential.
